Banana-Wheat Bread |
- Wheat flour / Atta - 2 cups
- Ripe Bananas- 3-4 nos (Long yellow variety)
- Eggs- 2 nos
- Butter, melted - 1/2 cup (Unsalted)
- Brown / White Sugar - 3/4 cup
- Baking soda - 3/4 tsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Chopped Nuts - 1/2 cup (I used toasted walnuts)
- Preheat oven to 350 F degrees
- Grease the baking pan with oil and sprinkle some rava / cornmeal
- Beat together the butter, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth
- Add the bananas and eggs, beating until smooth (I used my blender for this)
- Add the flour and nuts, stirring until smooth
- Pour the batter into the pan and let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- Bake the bread for 50 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
- Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before turning it out of the pan onto a rack to cool completely.
- Once it became warm, slice and serve
