Banana-Wheat Bread (Rich Version)

Servings: 1 loaf

Banana-Wheat Bread
Ingredients:
  • Wheat flour / Atta - 2 cups
  • Ripe Bananas-  3-4 nos (Long yellow variety)
  • Eggs- 2 nos
  • Butter, melted - 1/2 cup (Unsalted)
  • Brown / White Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Baking soda - 3/4 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped Nuts - 1/2 cup (I used toasted walnuts)
Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees
  2. Grease the baking pan with oil and sprinkle some rava / cornmeal
  3. Beat together the butter, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth
  4. Add the bananas and eggs, beating until smooth (I used my blender for this)
  5. Add the flour and nuts, stirring until smooth
  6. Pour the batter into the pan and let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
  7. Bake the bread for 50 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean
  8. Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before turning it out of the pan onto a rack to cool completely. 
  9. Once it became warm, slice and serve
